Goodbye Summer...Hello Bonus Round Super Summer.

Updated: Sep 1, 2023

Just like that, summer is coming to a close. The kids are back in school, Pumpkin Spice is showing up on menus across the country, and the high today in Dripping Springs is only 98 degrees. And, temperatures will remain in the upper 90s for the meteorologically foreseeable future - because this week marks the unofficial start of Texas' Bonus Round Super Summer.

This general extension of summertime temperatures is nothing new to residents of the Texas Hill Country, and anyone who's lived here long enough can attest to the fact that the weather can stay balmy well into November some years. For pool owners, this is certainly a windfall, because folks in Central Texas can enjoy their pools for 9 months out of the year.

What people may not know is that this time of year is also becoming a popular time to build a pool in Texas, because it offers some truly unique advantages over building in the traditional Spring/Summer high building season.

First and foremost, customer schedules tend to be way more relaxed this time of year, as families buckle down after post-summer travel and vacations. A lot of clients prefer to be available during pool construction, and we always welcome the ease of communication that comes from clients being easily reachable for questions and potential issues that may arise during the pool-building process.

Another advantage to building in the Fall is that many materials suppliers tend to offer product discounts around this time of year. Some are clearing inventory in advance of the new year, while others offer slashed prices to compete with generally lower sales as demand tapers off on a national level. Whatever the case, can often translate to a significant reduction in the overall cost of building a pool.

Lastly, it's worth mentioning that clients ordering pools with us today will likely still have plenty of time to enjoy their new pool before Bonus Round Super Summer comes to a close.
